Gujarat government has launched Manav Kalyan Yojana which is aimed at economic advancement for backward caste and poor communities. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be given to those employed as market vendors, hawkers, carpenters, washermen, cobblers etc. who are of low income. Gujarat government has implemented Manav Kalyan Yojana 2023-24 which will provide financial assistance to backward caste artisans, laborers and small vendors.
The government will provide financial assistance to them if their earning is up to Rs 12,000 in rural areas and Rs 15,000 in urban areas. Under this scheme, they will also be provided with additional tools and equipment. The main objective of this scheme is to improve the economic condition of artisans, laborers and small vendors struggling with economic condition and to provide self-employment opportunities.
