What is Pradhan Mantri Sewing Machine Scheme?
Pradhan Mantri Sai Machine Yojana is a government program that provides free sewing machines to economically disadvantaged and working women. With this machine they can start working from home. The scheme is open to women who wish to re-enter the workforce. A total of 50,000 women per state are eligible for this program. Both rural and urban women can benefit from this scheme. To apply, the applicant must provide Aadhaar card, birth certificate, income proof, passport size photo and mobile number. If the applicant is disabled or a widow, they will also have to provide the relevant documents.

Free sewing machine eligibility
Age of women applying under this scheme should be between 16 years to 60 years.
Applicant’s family income should be upto Rs.1,20,000/- for rural area and up to Rs.1,50,000/- for urban area.Taluka Mamlatdar or Municipal Chief Officer or authorized officer of Municipal Corporation in metropolitan area has to submit income proof. .
Only economically weaker women of the country will be eligible under this scheme.
Widows and disabled women can also join and benefit from this scheme.

First you have to type “e-Kutir Portal” in Google.
In which Commissioner Kutir and Village Industries official website e-Kutir Portal will be opened.
Clicking on E-Kutir Portal now “Manav Kalyan Yojana” will be the first scheme to appear.
If you have previously created User Id and Password on E Kutir Portal then you have to “Login to Portal”.
After login it will show different scheme named Manav Kalyan Yojana..
In which the online form of the scheme will be opened, in which all the information in “Personal Information” has to be filled and click on “Save & Next”.
Now you have to select the application for “Sewing Machine Kit Assistance” specially considering your experience and studies.
Enter details of certificate and experience certificates you have studied for sewing machine for tailor work.
The applicant now has to upload a copy of Aadhaar card, copy of ration card, document of BPL and sample of business experience etc.
After that read the given terms and conditions and click “Confirm Application”.
