The Revenue Department has decided to pay daily cash assistance (CashDolls) to those affected by natural calamities. The rules of which have been issued. While all types of assistance provided under SDRF/NDRF are affected. The instructions to pay only through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) or PFMS (Public Fund Management System) in the bank account of the beneficiaries are in force.

But, banking transactions are difficult and impossible in the current situation in the areas affected by Cyclone Biporjoy. In such circumstances, it becomes very difficult to deposit and withdraw the amount of CashDolls in the account of the affected Ismo. Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to give cash assistance in cash to the affected districts.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held a meeting with top officials, including the Chief Secretary, at the State Emergency Operation Center to get details of the administration’s action against the possible ‘Biparjoy’ cyclone in Gujarat.

Relief Commissioner Alok Pandey giving details of this review meeting said, “18 teams of NDRF and 12 teams of SDRF have been deployed in the districts likely to be affected by the cyclone. NDRF has six teams in Kutch, three in Devbhoomi Dwarka, two in Rajkot, two in Jamnagar and Junagadh, Porbandar, Gir Somnath. , one team each has been deployed at Morbi and Valsad.”

“While SDRF has two teams each in Kutch, Jamnagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka, one team each in Junagadh, Porbandar, Gir Somnath, Morbi, Patan and Banaskantha. Besides, one team is kept in reserve at Surat.”

State Inspector General, Border Security Force officer Ravi Gandhi visited the coastal areas of Bhuj to deal with the possible impact of the storm. Also reviewed the amount of equipment available in case of emergency.

A meeting was also held between the civil administration and representatives of the Army, Navy and Air Force at Collectorate Jamnagar on Wednesday. From Jamnagar Military Station, 50 army personnel reached Dwarka through 13 vehicles for relief and rescue operations.

Relief Commissioner Alok Pandey while detailing the review meeting added, “Full vigilance is being maintained by the state government to avoid any loss of life in the state as a result of the possible storm.”

“The state government has shifted a total of more than 47 thousand people to safe places in eight districts so far with special emphasis on evacuation. The evacuation operation is still in progress and the operation is expected to be 100 percent complete by Wednesday evening.

Giving further information, he said, “So far, 4462 in Junagadh district, 17739 in Kutch, 8542 in Jamnagar, 3469 in Porbandar, 4863 in Devbhoomi Dwarka, 1605 in Gir Somnath, 1936 in Morbi and 4497 ​​in Rajkot, a total of 47113 people have been shifted to safe places.

Holidays have been declared in all primary and secondary schools of Amreli district. While the ports including Jafarabad, Shialbet, Chanch Bandar, Victor and the island have been heavily deployed with police and medical teams.

As many as 29 villages in Rajula-Jaffrabad are taking safety and precautionary measures following the threat of sea storm.

Considering the population of 10 thousand in Shialbet, nodal officers have been appointed in Rajula and Jafarabad.
