Aadhar Update Date Extended: Again a decision taken in the public interest, the date for Aadhaar card update has been extended for free

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended free Aadhaar update of documents by 3 months from June 14 to September 14, 2023

In a relief news for common people who could not update their Aadhaar card by June 14, UIDAI has extended the last date to update Aadhaar card till September 14, 2023. Notably, UIDAI has asked citizens to update their Aadhaar card with their latest demographic details by the last date. The statutory body had said that if your Aadhaar card was issued ten years ago and has never been updated, you have to update your demographic details by June 14 by uploading your identity and address proof, but now the date has been extended. .

According to the UIDAI website, “Please update Aadhaar for continues accuracy of demographic Information. To update it, upload your proof of identity and proof of address documents.”

Earlier there was a fee of Rs 50 for updating Aadhaar.

UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has given a gift to all the citizens of the country. Now Aadhaar card details can be updated online for free. But a time limit has been fixed for this. 50 rupees discount on updating only till June 14, 2023. That is if you can update Aadhaar card details for free till June 14. Earlier, there was a fee of Rs 50 for updating Aadhaar. Let’s know how to update Aadhaar card online. Keep in mind, the free facility provided by UIDAI can be availed only through MyAadhaar Portal. But people have to pay Rs 50 at physical Aadhaar centres. There is no discount on that.

The Self-Service online option allows residents to change their addresses by immediately submitting a request on the site. To access the portal, the resident’s Aadhaar number and registered mobile number are necessary. The resident should authenticate using an OTP sent to his or her registered mobile phone number. Residents must upload the POA documentation to complete the update procedure.

How to Update Aadhaar

First go to UIDAI website //myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.

Now login and select ‘Name, Gender, Date of Birth and Address Update’.

After that you have to login with OTP.

Select ‘Address’ from the list of demographic options and click on proceed to update the aadhaar.

Upload the scanned copy and fill the required demographic information.

In this way Aadhaar update request will be submitted and Aadhaar status update will be available.

To see the details of the update

After you have successfully submitted your request for update, you will be given a URN number, which will be in the format 0000/00XXX/XXXXX. The number appears on your screen as well as on your registered mobile number. After getting your URN number, you can check your update status at https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/checkSSUPStatus/checkupdatestatus.
